Service Director Anthony Ciresi, in his report last week to Maple Heights council, expressed dismay at the vandalism which had taken place in the city's Stafford Park the week before. He said that the tables in all three pavilions were overturned, as well as bleachers.

"Anything you could flip over was flipped over," he commented. Ciresi said that with the mayor's permission his department is in the process of bolting down all the tables in all the pavilions.

Also at the meeting, best wishes were offered to Lynn Shaw, longtime administrative assistant to the mayor and director of Human Services, who is retiring on July 31.
